Sambung is an application that aims to help Indonesian American youth stay connected through their ethnic background through the means of interpersonal connection, events & activities, and media. While the principle of sticking with one’s culture is universal, I wanted to focus on Indonesians given my knowledge and observations. Indonesian Americans are very uncommon in the United States, especially youths, and I wanted to research more into what makes this experience unique and how to help guide it.
